Coastal Mexican architecture inspires a language of simple forms and natural materials. A graphic, food-inspired mural provides an unexpected and playful focal point. The semi-enclosed living spaces by the late modernist architect Louis Barragan inspire a generous amount of plants. Mexican crafts, such as paper jewelry and black and white textiles, are viewed through a modern lens to inspire patterns, textures and details. Mexican ingredients, such as limes, tomatillos, and avocados, inspire pops of modern color. The greens also tie back to the sister restaurant, Alta Calidad, in Brooklyn, NY.
