Estela is a new-construction, multi-family project in The Bronx, New York. The property consists of two buildings, each with their own distinct vibe.

The larger building has broad, generous spaces and expansive views of the surrounding neighborhood. The interiors embrace the local context by featuring a variety of local furniture designers and artists. The color palettes are inspired by various nearby parks and waterways and provide a variety of moods ranging from serene to energetic.

Architecturally, the second building has more intimate and inward-looking spaces which encouraged us to find inspiration for the interior design in the less-is-more Bauhaus style. Textile designer Lena Bergner inspires custom rug designs and bold, dimensional millwork. The color palettes are derived from the reds and deep gray-blues found in the surrounding industrial buildings and waterways. The interiors feel subdued yet sophisticated.

Farouki Farouki’s scope includes the interior design of all public spaces, model units, and exterior furniture.
